Kargil Vijay Diwas

Overall Goal of Session: Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed on July 26 every year, is a significant day in India’s history. It commemorates the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999. This day is dedicated to the brave soldiers who fought valiantly to protect the sovereignty of the nation. This session aims to share this story with the children and make them understand the role, sacrifice and importance of the army in our country.

Expected Takeaways: Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day to remember the sacrifices made by the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War. It is a day to promote patriotism and unity among citizens, and to pay tribute to the heroes of the war.

Expected Impact on Behaviour: Respect for army and soldiers, importance of freedom, patriotism for the country.

Any Observations: The movie “Shershaah” which was screened at the end of the ppt captures the story of Kargil War well. It is the story of Captain Vikram Batra, whose journey is inspiring and motivating. The movie is a part of the session and should not be omitted as far as possible.

Any Other Notes: It is important to create a strong context and a sense of importance and sacrifice while delivering the presentation.
